Game 4 will be played today with Aim Low eyeing to wrap up the series early and the Teachers hoping to extend the series to a winner-take-all Game 5 tomorrow.

Aim Low boosted its chances for the championship and take a 2-1 lead in the series after a 38-28 juiced-out win in Game 3. Aim Low nailed the important victory despite losing the first set, 10-13.

Down by three, Aim Low grabbed the upper hand, 25-18, as it won the second set by 10 points, 15-10. Then in the deciding third set, Aim Low picked up where it left off, drilling a 13-10 triumph for the series lead. Aim Low was awarded the juiced out win in Game 3, as it had the lead and won the third set, too.

A.J. Aguilar was the heavy hitter for Aim Low with his eight points of two kees and two aces. Y.J. Nakayama also notched two aces and added one kee for six points, while Jake Kapwich chipped in five after converting the lone goal in the game and scoring one ace. J.R. Gechig completed Aim Low’s scorers list with his two points off one kee.

Nick Gross was on target in Game 3 for the Teachers with his 12 markers off five kees and one ace. However, Gross had only Tyce Mister and John Nekaifes helping him out on offense. Nekaifes logged two kees, while Mister had one.

The Teachers and Aim Low’s title series started last Monday with the latter escaping with an overtime win in Game 1, 46-38. Then in Game 2, the Teachers recovered, downing Aim Low after only three sets, 35-29, to tie the series.

Aim Low and the Teachers are among the 12 teams entered in the Rocball fall league and made it to the first cut (composed of six teams). Then in the second round of the competition, the Teachers and Aim Low finished in the Top 2 to advance to the semis. In the short best-of-three semis se, both teams swept their foes to march into the finals.
