NMC hosts Climb Higher summit

- Northern Marianas College president Dr. Carmen Fernandez opened up the seminar by encouraging the participants to take advantage of the programs and services offered at NMC.
- Superior Court Associate Judge Terea Kim-Tenorio shared her college experience with participants during a segment that allowed for a question and answer interaction.
- About 200 participants of NMC’s Climb Higher Seminar included employees from the Department of Public Safety, Department of Corrections, Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality, Department of Lands and Natural Resources, Department of Fire and Emergency Management Services, Office of the Governor, and other public agencies.
Through a partnership with the Civil Service Commission and the CNMI Office of Personnel Management, Northern Marianas College hosted a “Climb Higher Seminar” for about 200 government employees. The purpose of the event was to provide participants with information about professional development opportunities, college admissions financial aid, NMC Prior Learning Assessment program, and other information. The seminar was made possible through the support of the U.S. Department of Education’s AANAPISI program.
