Probable cause found vs 2 ‘ice’ suspects
The Superior Court has found probable cause to charge two men who were arrested recently by CNMI Drug Enforcement Task Force officers for alleged trafficking of methamphetamine or “ice” and conspiracy.
Associate Judge Joseph Camacho ordered Fei Long Zheng, 25, and Jiang Feng, 30, both Chinese nationals, to answer the charges.
Police detective Roque Camacho testified in Zheng’s case, while police detective Rudolph Sablan spoke in court in Feng’s case.
Assistant public defender Tillman Clark is counsel for Zheng, while assistant public defender Nancy Dominski is counsel for Feng.
Arraignment will be on Jan. 9, 2017, at 9am. Both were remanded into the custody of Corrections.
The judge earlier imposed a $100,000 cash bail on each defendant.
In Zheng’s case, police claimed that a cooperating defendant was able to buy $690 worth of “ice” from him last Dec. 10 outside a house in Garapan. Police said that Zheng served as the deliveryman of another “ice” source.
In Jian Feng’s case, police allege that a drug defendant identified Jian Feng as her source of “ice.”
When officers arrested Jian Feng’s “ice” source last Oct. 28, they allegedly seized from her 10 grams of methamphetamine.
