Water outage in As Lito, parts of As Perdido and Koblerville
The villages of As Lito, portions of As Perdido, and Koblerville will experience a temporary water service interruption due to a leak on the 8-inch water distribution main line fronting the Happy Market store in As Lito.
Water operations personnel are currently making the necessary emergency repairs. Commonwealth Utilities Corp. customers in the affected areas should expect restoration of services soon after.

MVA to host ‘Marianas-chan’ auditions
The Marianas Visitors Authority will hold open auditions on Jan. 7, 2017, on Saipan for “Marianas-chan” (Marianas child) to help promote the Northern Mariana Islands in Japan. The contest is open to U.S. citizen children ages 4-6 who reside in the CNMI. Additional details and applications are available at www.mymarianas.com, and the deadline to apply is extended to 12pm, Jan. 6, 2017. Interested contestants from Tinian and Rota are invited to submit an application with a 1-2 minute video of the contestant to info@mymarianas.com for call back to the audition.
