Each year in December, the State Rehabilitation Council and the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation release their joint annual report that highlights the performance and accomplishments of the CNMI Vocational Rehabilitation Program, better known in the community as OVR or voc rehab.

This year, the annual report committee composed of OVR staff and SRC partners, with the leadership of OVR data analyst Magdalene Reyes, put together the “Fiscal Year 2016 Annual Report.”

This report provides graphs and charts about program performance outcomes as well as a profile of the client or consumer population, including gender, age, island (individuals residing on Saipan, Tinian, or Rota), ethnicity, disability category, employment status, and so forth. In the report, program highlights and accomplishments are categorized according to OVR’s state plan goals and priorities. Other information is also provided such as funding information focused on case service expenditures, and survey results of consumer satisfaction at application and at the time of successful (and even unsuccessful) closures. Special photos are added that highlight some very important activities undertaken in the past year by the SRC, OVR, and CNMI disability network partners, such as the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act training in January, the Developmental Disabilities and Employment Awareness Month conference held on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota in March, and the School-to-Work Transition mini-conference sponsored by the CNMI Transition Coalition in September. The report also invites you to get to know some of OVR’s successful closures, as well as your OVR staff and SRC members.

If you would like a copy of the report, please send an email to nmidir@ovrgov.net and type “2016 Annual Report” in the subject line. An electronic copy of the report may be found at www.ovrgov.net.
