Fresh to strong trade winds and combined seas of 9 to 12 feet will produce hazardous conditions for operators of small craft into the weekend.

A high surf advisory remains in effect until 6pm tomorrow, Saturday.

For east facing reefs, surf will be hazardous at 10 to 12 feet through Saturday. The surf will decrease below hazardous levels Saturday night.

For north facing reefs, the surf will subside below hazardous level today, Friday.

A small craft advisory remains in effect until 6pm Saturday. Fresh to strong trade winds and combined seas of 10 to 12 feet will produce hazardous conditions for operators of small craft the next few days.

Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid sailing in these conditions. Avoid venturing near reefs along exposed beaches, especially those facing north and east. Rip currents will be life-threatening. (EOC)
