The canaries of San Vicente Elementary School soared at the Primary Grade Forensics Competition held Dec. 3 at the San Vicente school campus, garnering 27 award ribbons out of 46 participants.
“We are very proud of our students and parents,” said SVS PGFC chair Leora Ngirablosch.
San Vicente Elementary School school principal Paulette Sablan said, “It has been four years since SVS participated in PGFC events and we are so pleased that this school year it was made possible. It was possible because we have dedicated teachers who stepped up to be coordinators/training coaches so our students would be able to participate. This is a great opportunity for our students to extend their learning outside of the classroom and showcase their talents.
“Seeing the excitement in their faces is priceless and just being able to participate (win or lose) is always a great learning opportunity. I want to thank all our teachers and parents who worked hard to prepare our students for the various PGFC events thus far. We look forward to the January event,” added Sablan.
