CUC repairs As Terlaje waterline

The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. has resolved the damaged waterline in As Terlaje in a matter of days.

CUC acting executive director Gary Camacho said they are close to completing the project.

“The As Terlaje project is basically completed. Traffic seems to be running smoothly down there now but we still have additional work to be done and we’ll get to that as soon as possible,” he said. “With all the important tasks completed already, things just seem like our work is finished.”

William Gilmore, deputy executive director for CUC, said, “It took five days to repair the waterline. We’re out of traffic now and things are fine. Now we’re just waiting to go back and fix some minor issues.”

According to Camacho, the waterline in As Terlaje ruptured. However, further investigation is needed to find the cause of the rupture.

A resident in the area, Aaron Falig, said, “I heard about that road a couple days ago. I just thought to myself that it was a hassle going through it since it is a main road plus it’s where the hill is. So yeah, it’s a good thing they fixed it as soon as possible because I go through it everyday.”
