2 NMIS students to represent NMI at thespian competition

Two students of the Northern Marianas International School will be representing the CNMI at the National Junior International Thespian competition in Sacramento, California.

NMIS students Amy Rayn Soliman (7th grade) and John Andrei Bayking (8th grade) will be the NMI representatives for the Monologue event for the U.S.-wide Junior International Thespian Society festival at the Sacramento Convention Center, California, from Feb. 10 to 12, 2017.

NMIS students did an excellent job at the Thespian regional finals participated in by both public and private schools in the CNMI held on Dec. 3, 2016, at the San Vicente Elementary School.

Other members of the NMIS team of regional performers were Mika Vergara, Christian Troy Rosimo, and Sophia Cornelio.

CNMI Team coach George  Gomez would like to thank NMIS vice principal Jener A. Pineda, teachers Levi Sobremisana, Grace Rosete, Kimberly Asperin, Criselda Aldan, NMIS administration officer Jane Viola, NMIS events registrar Darlene Sobremisana, voice coach Charry De Guzman and all the parents and staff of NMIS who raised and supported the NMIS team!
