Finalists chosen from over 350 photo contest entries

Imperial Pacific International, Ltd. received over 350 entries for its Cultural Heritage Month photo contest. At 2pm on Monday, winners will be named in a ceremony that will be held at the Azucena Room of Fiesta Resort and Spa Saipan.
This project encourages the youth’s involvement by having them submit photos depicting their personal definition and interpretation of what culture means.
The finalists for the High School Division are Karen Agulto of Marianas High School, Tahj Salas of Saipan Southern High School, and Pia Dela Cruz of Tinian High School.
The finalists for the Middle School Division are Destiny Cabrera of ChaCha Middle School, Seiji Gonzales of ChaCha Middle School, and Hannah Salcedo of Hopwood Jr. High School.
The finalists for the Elementary School Division are Kianna Palacios of Koblerville Elementary School, Toviann Masiwemai of Koblerville Elementary School, Mary Salcedo of William S. Reyes Elementary School, and Vanica Torres of Seventh Day Adventist School.
The finalists for the Kindergarten /Head Start Division are Logan Atalig of Chalan Kanoa Head Start, Landon Toves of Sinapalo Elementary School, and Maria Guerrero of Seventh Day Adventist School. The names are in no particular order.
All finalists are encouraged to attend the awards ceremony at the Azucena Room of the Fiesta Resort and Spa Saipan at 2pm on Monday, Dec. 5. Each school is allowed to bring one teacher representative to attend the event with the student finalists.
