Over 60 juniors player join TanHoldings Classic

More than 60 junior players will be seeing action in Week 1 of the 8th Annual TanHoldings Tennis Classic that will kick off tomorrow at the various hotel courts on Saipan.
The boys U12 singles has the most player with 12. Richard Steele leads the seeded players in the division and is joined by No. 1 Daniel Kang, No. 3 Anthony Gregoire, and No. 4 Seung Won Lee. Completing the field are Jaehoon Son, Isaac Heo, Jun Wang, Andy Kim, Brandon Lee, Andrew Chung, Min Gi Jung, and Jiwoong Kwon.
In the boys U10 singles, Danny Jeoung and Lahunn Lam are the Top 2 seeds and will battle the division crown against Jae Yun Jung, Sam Cope, Do Gun Kim, and Nason Wessel. In the boys U14 singles, Ji Min Woo and Seung Jin Paik are seeded first and second, respectively. Six other players are in the boys U14 singles draw and the list includes Daniel Heo, Sam Ryu, Jeoung Won Lee, Rintaro Miyawaki, Chris Kim, and Sean Lee.
Sean Lee will also try his luck in the much competitive boys U16 singles, which has Michael Ren as the No. 1 seed. Completing the group are No. 2 Ken Song, Andy Cho, Woo, Vincent Tudela, Jeffrey Seo, and Allan Lee.
In the girls division, only three players—Tania Tan, Isabel Heras, and Malika Miyawaki—are vying for the U18 crown. There are also three entries in the U12 age group in JC Ferrer, Anika Camacho, and Helen Kim. In the U14, siblings Conatsu and Coume Kaga are the Top 2 seeds and are joined in the competition by Riko Ojima, Hyunmin Cho, and Maria Gregoire. In the U12 division, Hoo Wang, Chae Eun Kim, Seo Hee Lee, and Helen Kim will play in a round-robin contest.
Majority of the singles players in the four age groups will also participate in the doubles competition, while a lot of junior players will join, too the adults singles, doubles, and mixed doubles, which will take place next weekend.
