CPUC closes down

Citing unnamed circumstances, the Commonwealth Public Utilities Commission announced yesterday that it will be closing down its office indefinitely.

In a statement, the CPUC’s sole commissioner, Dave Guerrero, said that the agency has already notified the Commonwealth Development Authority that it will be vacating its office effective Nov. 22, 2016.

At the same time, all vendor accounts that the CPUC has opened are terminated and have been asked to be closed.

As of tomorrow, CPUC will no longer maintain an office but intends to still keep tabs on any matters involving the organization.

“All future communications may be addressed to the Office of the Governor. So that the record of any inquiry, filing or other correspondence is preserved, please copy current Commonwealth Public Utilities Commission legal counsel Mark B. Hanson on all issues. His office is maintaining records for the Commonwealth Public Utilities Commission,” said Guerrero in the notice.

It advised that all future communications with the CPUC be coursed through the Office of the Governor, with courtesy copy to Hanson.
