Joeten’s ramen shop officially opens

Joeten has unveiled its own version of a hat trick, with the official opening of Aiko’s Ramen restaurant, along with a third Café Latte and the Hafa Adai Express, a new concept of convenience shopping that’s tailored for tourists and residents alike who want to execute a quick transaction, in the same building.

Joeten’s first ramen restaurant features meticulously planned Japanese-style cuisine, along with the third installment of Café Latte that features frozen yogurt as a recommended dish after a bowlful of ramen.

Bo Palacios, business development manager of J.C. Tenorio Enterprises, said, “We’re really excited for this location because it will be our first to feature frozen yogurt. The light coolness of frozen yogurt perfectly complements the richness of our ramen so we believe that this is a great pairing of products.”

“Aiko’s Ramen is the result of several years of planning, developing, training, and product testing. We feel that we finally got it right and we’re so proud to offer the best, freshest, and most authentic product possible,” Palacios added.

One customer, Ton Garcia, who came in with friends, said, “I like how the café is together with the ramen shop. That way I don’t have to spend extra gas going somewhere else if I want desert.”

Emi Okazaki, Aiko’s Ramen manager, said, “With the opening today, I feel very happy. …We are still going through the processes of running the restaurant since it is the first ramen shop for Joeten. We offer good ramen and customer service because I want them [customers] to feel like they want to come back.”

Bishop Ryan P. Jimenez blessed the restaurant’s premises. Following that was the Kagami-biraki, sake toast led by Emi Okazaki, and refreshments made available within the restaurant.

Nanyo Boeki Kaisha, Kikkoman, and Hakutsuru Sake sponsored the Kagami-biraki.

The Kagami-biraki is a ceremony performed at celebratory events in which the lid of the sake barrel is broken open by a wooden mallet and the sake is served to everyone.
