Thanksgiving v-ball tourney set; no open gym at Ada this week

The Co-Ed Thanksgiving Spike Fest will kick off today at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.

With the tournament to be played on Nov. 21, 23, 25, and 26, the Northern Marianas Sports Association, which operates the facility, has announced the suspension of the “open gym” this week.

The tournament will have two divisions: recreational and competitive. Each team is allowed to have a maximum of eight players. At least three females should be on the court at all times. Males are not allowed to spike or hit inside the 10-foot line.

Each match will be played in a best-of-three format with the first two sets race to 25, while the third, if necessary, is race to 15.
