Shirley’s whips foes in Dove women’s league

Shirley’s Football Club recorded lopsided victories in the 2016 Dove Women’s Fall League last Sunday at the Chacha Ocean View Middle School Field.

In Division A, Shirley’s toped TanHoldings FC, 8-3, while in Division B, the former eased past Kanoa, 9-0.

Thereze Millare starred in Shirley’s demolition of Kanoa after firing six goals, four of them came in succession. Millare started her string of goals in the second half in the 34th minute, while the last three came in the 40th, 42nd, and 47th. Her first two were made in the second and 14th minute.

Shirley’s three other goals were from Katherine Magat, Marilou Arriola, and Lilian Podziewski, who lit up the board in the sixth, 17th, and 28th minute, respectively.

In Division A, De Jana Muna and Jasmin Phan logged three goal each for Shirley’s FC, while Katrina Costales added one. Muna had a hat trick streak, as he scored in the 52nd, 56th, and 58th minute. Phan hit the board first for Shirley’s with her goal in the fourth minute before she made back-to-back scores in the 26th and 28th. Costales’ shot came in the 18th minute.

TanHoldings drew goals from Gillian Villagomez, Britanny Wally, and Krizel Tuazon in the 15th, 27th, and 57th minute, respectively.

In other results, Kanoa won via forfeit over Babs in Division B, while MP United and Matansa prevailed over Topnotch and TanHoldings.
