In cooperation with photographic film production brand Fujifilm Korea, the Marianas Visitors Authority held a blogger familiarization tour on Oct. 26-30, 2016, on Tinian and Saipan.
Since Fujifilm’s founding in 1934 as a photographic film manufacturer, the company has expanded to become an innovative leader in a variety of business fields. The tour to the Northern Mariana Islands was organized to promote the beautiful scenery of the Northern Marianas and to position the islands as a photogenic destination.
Ten participants experienced Tinian and Saipan’s natural beauty and took beautiful landscape pictures while visiting and experiencing major travel attractions and activities. During their day trip to Tinian, the group visited most of the island’s travel attractions; Blow Hole, Taga Beach, Tachogna Beach, Carolinas Nature Trail, North Field historic sites, Ushi Cross Point, Broadway, House of Taga, Long Beach, and Chulu Beach.
“The feedback we received is that the [familiarization] tour participants fell in love with the beautiful scenery of Saipan and Tinian,” said MVA marketing manager Bruce Bateman. “They took many photos to upload on their blogs, and through these posts, the charming, clean nature of our islands will be a strong selling point to potential new visitors from Korea.”
The participants’ travelogues will be posted on their blogs throughout November, and photos taken by the participants will be used for the MVA’s upcoming promotional events.
Accommodations were provided by Hyatt Regency Saipan. The group dined at Miyako, Kensington Hotel, iHOP, Bubba Gump, and JC Café. Tours also included Managaha, T Galleria, a sunset cruise, an ATV tour, and the historic and scenic sites of Marpi in northern Saipan. (MVA)
