As part of the 2nd Marianas Ukulele Festival, held on Oct. 22, 2016, professional ukulele performers JazzoomCafe from Japan and Blues Lee from Korea gave special live performances sharing the love of ukulele music at several local venues.
The two visited KKMP Radio, Saipan Community School, the Office on Aging Man’amko Center, Marianas High School, Kagman High School, Saipan International School, and the Joeten Kiyu Public Library on Friday, Oct. 21.
“It was so fantastic, interacting with the local students, seniors, and members of the community,” said JazzoomCafe.
Many of the students were awed and inspired by the unique and incredible ukulele playing styles displayed by the special guest performers.
“I really enjoyed the entire day performing for so many different groups,” said Blues Lee, “and I hope we get to return for next year’s Marianas Ukulele Festival.”
