CTSI banked on its formidable trio to top Kanoa Football Club in their Division A game in the 2016 Dove Women’s Fall League last Sunday at the Chacha Ocean View Middle School Field.
Guinevere Borja and Angel and Lyka Sally teamed up anew for CTSI, powering their squad to a 6-2 victory against Kanoa in the first match in the division.
Lyka fueled CTSI’s offense with her goal in the seventh minute, while Borja gave their team its second goal in the first half for their 2-1 halftime edge. Earlier in the second minute, Mikky Vargas handed Kanoa its first goal.
Angel then stretched CTSI lead to 3 after converting back-to-back goals in the 37th and 40th minute, while a shot from Marielle Gariguez in the 42nd kept Kanoa in the match. However, that was also the last time Kanoa hit the board, while Lyla and Borja added two more goals for CTSI.
In the other Division A match, TanHoldings forced a draw against Shirley’s, 3-3.
TanHoldings managed to end the match in a standoff after scoring all its three goals in the second half. Gillian Villagomez posted two of those goals, while Mary Kay Alferos drilled the other one.
Dianne Pablo also had a pair for Shirley’s, which led at 1-0 after the first half. Katrina Costales registered Shirley’s lone goal in the opening 35 minutes of play.
DIVISION B
MP United 2, Kanoa 1

In the third game, Shirley’s outclassed Babs.
Three different players scored for Shirley’s. Michaela Carreon was the first one as she found her target in the eighth minute, while Thereze Millare converted her shot in the 14th. All three goals of Shirley’s came in the first half, as Valeria Myers recorded her goal in the 22nd minute.
Babs was quiet in the entire first half before Cleo Nening broke the team’s silence in the 36th minute.
Meanwhile, the second game in the division between Kagman and Paire ended in a scoreless draw.
