CTSI shuts down Shirley’s in Dove women’s league

CTSI got in second win in Division A of the 2016 Dove Women’s Fall League after blanking Shirley’s FC, 3-0, last Sunday at the Chacha Ocean View Middle School Field.

Lyka Sally, Guinevere Borja, and Jeraldine Castillo scored for CTSI. All goals were made in the second half with Borja lighting up the board first in the 47th minute and Castillo following suit a minute later. Sally’s shot came in the 60th minute.

Shirley’s absorbed its first loss after a 2-0 start and is forced to share the top spot with CTSI.

In the other Division A game, TanHoldings and Kanoa settled for a 2-2 draw.

Paulyn Grace Joyce knocked in the pair of goals for Kanoa with her second in the 43rd minute tying the match. Her first goal was recorded in the 28th minute. Gillian Villagomez duplicated Joyce’s two goals as the former found the back of the net in the 25th and 38th minute.

TanHoldings now has a 1-1-1 win-draw-loss record, while Kanoa holds a 0-1-2 slate.

DIVISION B
Babs 1, Kanoa 0

Babs edged Kanoa in the first game in Division B.

Soledad Quan knocked in the lone goal in the match for Babs’ second victory in as many games. Kanoa fell to a 1-1-1 card.

Shirley’s 3, Kagman 1
In the other game, Shirley’s defeated Kagman.

Thereze Millare fired two goals for Shirley’s, which got one from Marilou Arriola. Shirley’s now has a 2-1-0 slate. Kagman has yet to win after three games and got its only goal from Jaymades Ruluked.

MASTERS
Matansa 8, TanHoldings 0

Matansa posted the most lopsided win in last weekend’s matches after routing TanHoldings.

Ivana Cosum led Matansa to victory after making five goals. Bunruang Brassuel added two, while Ratree Ditwiset chipped in one.

Meanwhile, the other masters division match between Topnotch and MP United ended in a draw, 4-4.
