Humanities 4th quarter grant deadline next week
The Northern Marianas Humanities Council’s fourth quarter grant deadline is on Friday, Sept. 30, 4pm.
The council supports a wide range of humanities projects consistent with the goals and objectives of its Strategic Master Plan and awards competitive matching grants to any non-profit organization, institution, group or ad hoc committee.
The council’s Strategic Master Plan covers a five-year period from 2016 to 2020 and tackles current and long-range needs and challenges confronting the council. It aims to define the council’s principal goals and objectives, which is establishing priorities for programs and activities, allowing the Council to carry out its program and activities in an efficient and organized fashion.
Grant applications may be delivered to the council office at Springs Plaza in Gualo Rai or e-mailed to northernmarianashumanities@gmail.com. Grant applications will not be considered officially received until they have been certified complete by staff.
Applications submitted after the deadline will be considered during the next review cycle.
The council meets for regular sessions in January, April, July, and October each year and during each meeting, pending applications for community grants are looked at and decisions are made whether to fund or not fund particular applications.
