The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. board honored former director Chris Concepcion for his achievements and service when he was part of the group. Concepcion served as director for a year and a half before being appointed as the managing director of the Marianas Visitors Authority.
The board passed a resolution commending Concecpcion, who was also the board’s secretary, for trying to find ways to help solve the many issues that surround the utilities company.
“During his tenure as director and officer of CUC, Concepcion also served on the board’s personnel committee during the period when the board adopted a comprehensive wage and salary program for the corporation,” according to the board resolution.
Concepcion, according to the resolution, made a lot of sacrifices in his time as a director of the CUC board spending a lot of time away from his family and work as an officer of Delta Airlines on Saipan.
“The board of directors of CUC hereby expresses its gratitude for the many contributions he has made to the CUC. That this resolution be made part of the permanent record of the CUC board of directors,” the resolution added.
Concepcion thanked the CUC board for recognizing his contributions. “It was a very challenging experience, the year and half that I served on the board.”
“I really wish them the best. The board, the management team, and all the men and women that are working there. I just want them to continue their hard work to improve our utilities in the CNMI,” added Concepcion.
