BREAKING NEWS: Pagan, Alamagan under tropical storm watch

Pagan and Alamagan islands in the CNMI are now under tropical storm watch as tropical depression 10W is bearing down on the Northern Islands.

The National Weather Service said winds of 39 mph are possible within 24 hours and residents of Saipan, Tinian, and Rota have been advised to keep tabs on government bulletins about the developing tropical storm.

As of 9:30am this morning, tropical depression 10W was tracking 250 miles west of Saipan, 245 miles west of Tinian, 235 miles west-northwest of Rota, 305 miles west-southwest of Pagan, and 295 miles west-southwest of Alamagan.

Tropical depression 10 is expected to continue east-northwest today before turning northwest overnight with increase in forward speed.
