MHS student wins LibDay Online Photo contest

Marianas High School student Mackenzie Perez submitted this winning entry in the 2016 Liberation Day Online Photo contest. (Mackenzie Perez)

Fifteen-year-old Mackenzie Perez was declared winner of the 2016 Liberation Day Online Photo contest. Her photo of the Liberation Festival performers garnered the most number of likes and shares on Facebook.

Skywalker Communication Group’s Animu Facebook page ran the online contest from 12am of July 15 to 12am of July 22. The photos for the contest must be taken during the Liberation Festival from June 10 to July 9. Photos with the most number of likes and shares win.

The winner of the contest gets a one-night stay at Laolao Bay Golf and Resort.

Perez had the most number of likes and shares amongst other participants. Her photo outshone eight other contestants. She got a total of 158 likes and 45 shares.

Perez is an incoming sophomore student in Marianas High School. She is also a student correspondent for Saipan Tribune and is one of the volunteers in the recently concluded 2016 Liberation Festivities.

Skywalker Communications would like to thank Laolao Bay Golf and Resort for sponsoring the online photo competition. The company would also like to thank everyone who participated in the contest.
