Skywalker Communications puzzled by lawsuit from BSI
Skywalker Communications Group said it’s puzzled as to why Best Sunshine International, Ltd. filed a complaint against the company claiming a breach of contract relating to two creative services agreements.
“We find it curious that BSI filed this lawsuit considering that we had already repeatedly informed them quite some time ago that they were violating the terms of the contracts and after they refused to adhere to mediation procedures as is required by the contracts and as required by law,” the company said.
Skywalker Communications said the two contracts were negotiated by BSI and were according to the terms the Saipan casino developer requested.
“As for BSI’s claims regarding the quality of our work, until today, BSI continues to utilize our advertising and public relations strategies and concepts, as well as, creative works (with only miniscule modifications) particularly key visuals and visual identifications which include the color theme, logo design placement and use, structure and composition, contextual contents, application, and placement, all of which were designed by the Skywalker creative team,” the company said.
Skywalker Communications said in a way it’s not surprised at all with BSI’s lawsuit.
“This self-serving lawsuit is indicative of BSI’s disregard for basic contract law simply because it believes it can bully its way in and out of the agreements so that they can avoid completely paying for services that have already been rendered and that they have and are currently enjoying and recycling.”
Fortunately, Skywalker Communications said the contracts were entered into a U.S. territory where the rule of law prevails.
“Skywalker Communications looks forward to further exposing the truth about these outlandish claims in our Superior Court where it believes the facts and the law will be on its side.”
