The Administration for Native Americans (ANA), through its Pacific Region Training and Technical Assistance provider in Hawaii, Ka’anani’au, is once again offering a free workshop to help participants plan and develop community-based projects. The three-day workshop will be conducted at Northern Marianas College from Aug. 9 to 11, 2016, 8:30am-4pm, in Room N-5. Residents of Rota and Tinian can participate by attending the video teleconference sessions at the NMC Rota and Tinian campuses on the same dates and time.
Participants will learn how to:
• Work with community and key partners to identify and document specific problems that stand in the way of meeting community goals
• Create a project work plan to address those problems and attain community goals
• Develop measurable outcomes and impacts to the community
• Determine the level of resources and funding needed to implement the project
Although you may come as a walk-in on the first day, to prepare enough materials, participants are encouraged to please register on-line at: http://anapacificbasic.org. If you have any questions, you may e-mail the training director, Napua Harbottle at: napua@kaanaiau.com.
