Whispering Palms School welcomes new K4-K5 teacher

At Whispering Palms School, we are pleased to offer a new program for K4 and K5 students, led by our new teacher, Christie Boll. If you have young children, you may recognize her name, or least her face. She has been working as a Clubmate and in the Kids Club program at Pacific Islands Club.
If you have met Boll, you know that she is always smiling, energetic and full of life. In effective schools and in poor schools, the quality of the teacher makes all the difference. Boll is a teacher that will create positive memories with our students.
She has a strong background working with international students, and has worked in education in the United States, France, and South Korea. She is fluent in French and will be a support for Korean parents and for all students.
Boll also has a background in working with students who have limited English skills. She has worked on reading, writing, and speaking to help students improve their English communication skills.She implemented hands-on-activities to encourage students’ participation and allow them to take control of their learning. Boll has been trained in differentiation in the classroom, which means that she teaches to students’ individual strengths.
She has included technology in her teaching and adapted materials to fit the types of learners that are in the class. She has demonstrated daily contact with parents, and as K4/K5 teacher, would easily continue that practice when parents drop off or pick up their children.
Boll is passionate about running. She commented, “When I’m not working you can usually find me running down Beach Road. I absolutely love running.” She also enjoys hanging out by the beach with friends.
Working with young children, Boll will be running at school and out of school. We welcome her exciting K4-K5 addition to our school. School begins for all Whispering Palms students on Wednesday, Aug. 10.
