Saipan Municipal Council to resume sessions

The 13th Saipan and Northern Islands Municipal Council will resume its session tomorrow at 10am at the SNIMC Leadership Memorial Kiosk or the Hon. Pedro T. Nakatsukasa Memorial Building in Chalan Kanoa.

The session is in pursuant of Public Law 8-41 that requires all government meetings be open to the public.

Updates on the planned In Memoriam commemoration service set on Oct. 28 at 4pm are among the things that will be discussed in the agenda. The service will be held at the American Memorial Park.

The In Memoriam committee has lined up a number of events that would create awareness and drumbeat the event commemorating the men, women, and children who died during the Battle of Saipan in World War II.

Having several members from the Office on Aging at KKMP, symposium, and essay writing contest are some of the events they plan to hold before the memorial service.
