Japan Internet travel website Tabippo.net visited Saipan and Tinian from June 29 to July 2, 2016, to shoot a wide array of travel coverage to be featured from July 19 through September this year.

The coverage targets young travellers in their 20s and 30s and is expected to generate $50,000 worth of ad exposure for the Northern Mariana Islands. Tabippo.net receives 1.5 million page views each month.

“We’re very optimistic about the beginning of a revival of the Japan market through our intensive efforts to revitalize and stabilize arrivals in the coming months,” said Marianas Visitors Authority managing director Christopher A. Concepcion.

While on Saipan the group toured Forbidden Island with Marianas Trekking, Santa Lourdes Shrine, Mt. Tapochao, Bird Island Lookout, Grotto, Suicide Cliff, Japanese Last Command Post, Banzai, and Managaha. They also filmed at I Love Saipan and Joeten Hafa Adai Shopping Center. On Tinian, the group toured Taga Beach, Tinian Blow Hole, Chulu Beach and historic North Field.

The group lodged at Fiesta Resort & Spa, where they took in the Joyful Dinner Show.
