CUC: Scheduled power interruption today
The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. would like to inform the general public that there will be an emergency power interruption on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, from 9am to 1pm.
The purpose of the power interruption is to de-energize the primary lines to allow the CUC line crew to safely replace two burnt primary power poles and deteriorated power pole hardware along Chalan Msgr. Martinez Road in Koblerville. This is part of the System Maintenance work being performed throughout the island. CUC greatly appreciates the understanding of the community during this period.
Water services may be affected in the area during the power interruption; however, all services should be restored after the power is re-energized.
• Areas to be affected: Kiya 2 (1st partial): As Lito, Koblerville (Chalan Msgr. Martinez Road), Saipan International School, Mango Resort, Tottotville, and Saint Jude Church.
• Water Wells to be affected: AS-1, AS-2, AS-5
• Wastewater Lift Station to be affected: W-10
Because of the scale of work that will be performed, we ask travelers to take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the affected areas.
