$844,650 in attorneys’ fees demanded from Fund
$765,937 in fees, expenses requested by Boston law firm
Braddock Huesman, the Saipan-based counsel for the Fund, on the other hand, is demanding $9,201 in attorney’s fees plus reimbursement in the amount of $2,046 for a total of $11,247.
Colin Thompson, the Saipan-based counsel for the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors, has demanded compensation of $1,960 plus $382.50 in cost expenses, for a total of $2,341.50.
Don Jeffrey Gelber, the Hawii-based counsel for the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors, last week demanded $65,124.61 in compensation from the Fund for his and his law firm’s participation in the case.
This brings attorneys’ fees and expenses to a total of $844,650.93.
According to Jeremy B. Coffey of the Boston law firm Brown Rudnick LLP, he and other attorneys and paraprofessionals expended a total of 1,590 hours for the case.
Coffey said they actually expended 1,794.60 hours, but as an accommodation to the Fund, the law firm agreed to write off 204.60 hours with a value of $95,418.
Coffey listed 10 lawyers, including himself, and two paralegals that incurred the $704,293.50 in attorneys’ fees.
Coffey’s fee reached $117,895, while the biggest fee among the 10 lawyers in the law firm was by attorney Timothy J. Durken in the amount of $151,857.50.
For Huesman’s fee, he said his law firm expended a total of 79.1 hours.
