SAN JOSE, Tinian—Certified cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) instructors in collaboration with the Tinian Fire Department conducted trainings on June 14-15, 2016.

Classes were held at NMC Tinian Campus at no cost to the employer and participants. CPR AED is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrives. Skills covered in the course include first aid, choking relief in adults, children, and infants and what to do for sudden cardiac arrest in adults, children and infants.

This course teaches skills with the American Heart Association’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills.

Bridge Investment Group employees from all divisions were required to attend this vital training. “Considering the challenging environment and physical exertion required with construction work, it is only right that we equip our crew with the right trainings and skills to respond in the event of an emergency,” said administrative staffer Melanie Cruz. Employees will be receiving their certification cards at a later time.

“Now that I have been trained, I am confident that when an emergency arises, I am able to respond. This will be my second CPR/AED training and a lot has changed since then. I am very grateful the company gave us the opportunity to attend this training. It’s a win-win situation for the employee and employer,” said security officer Ian Dela Cruz

Bridge Investment Group makes the safety of its employees a priority. Safety briefings are conducted every week by the company. (PR)
