Summer is the time for play. At Saipan International School we recognize the importance of providing a place for children to develop their social skills. We are dedicated in showing kids how to enjoy others’ company, learn from each other, and make friends from all over the world. Each week of our summer camp highlights a different theme: Shades of Summer, Nature’s Art Box, Wacky and Wonderful, and Party in the USA.
During the first week of summer camp, Kathy Ruszala, camp counselor and certified teacher, facilitated team-building activities such as bubble relays, treasure hunt, and water balloon Olympics. Children from 5 through 11 were also encouraged to help prepare their own snacks and create projects such as a hide out tent and bubble art. On Fridays, the campers go on a field trip followed by a day at the pool. SIS Summer Camp started on June 13 and will end on July 9.
