Thank you Ms. Angelita Asia!
On June 11th, I lost my wallet at the Marianas Business Plaza flea market. My wallet made its way out of my bottomless pocket. My bank cards, mayor’s ID, and the ever important voter’s registration was not important to me. But the rockin’ metal scorpion patch stitched on the wallet had sentimental value. I had it in my possession for more than a decade.
Then came June 14, when an Angelita Asia walked into my office asking for me. She had tracked me down using my mayor’s ID and drove to the mayor’s office to get more info. I asked her how she came to find my wallet. She said it was some kids who found it and gave it to their mother. She was advised to throw it away if there wasn’t any money in it and Ms. Asia refused to do so. I then asked if she could follow me to the bank to be awarded. She said she just wanted the wallet returned and just go about her way. I told her I was not awarding her for finding my wallet. I am awarding her for her good deed. I told her she just made a new friend and hope that the CNMI could only have more Ms. Angelita Asias. Thank You Ms. Angelita Asia!
