Learn about the Battle of Saipan at AMP

Share

On June 15, 1944, American troops arrived on Saipan’s shores. That morning U.S. soldiers landed on western beaches to gain control of the island from the Japanese as part of the Battle of Saipan. If you would like to learn more, Park Ranger Podziewski will talk about that day in history from the same place where American soldiers came ashore 72 years ago. American Memorial Park invites you to join the Park at the outdoor learning center on Beach Road near the Japanese Tank adjacent from Quarter Master Road.  The short presentation will begin at 9am on Wednesday, June 15, 2016.
