CUC calls for water conservation

Share

Several areas of the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. water system are experiencing less than 24 hours of continuous service daily due to system deficiencies. While CUC continues to prioritize fixing leaks and replacing aging infrastructure, the water supply issues are worsened by the current drought conditions.

One of our major supply sources for example has not been producing water for several weeks. Community members can assist by adopting water conservation measures. Practical steps to take would include: fix all broken or leaking pipes and leaky outdoor faucets, fix leaky toilets, and indoor faucets, reduce plant watering or irrigation, and shut-off water tank fill valve as soon as tank is full, etc. Please continue reporting leaks to the CUC Call Center and all will be attended to as we are able.

CUC would like to extend its appreciation to all in the community for their patience and cooperation as we work together through the current water shortage.

For more information, contact the CUC Customer Call Center (664-4282) or monitor our Facebook page for the latest updates (https://www.facebook.com/CommonwealthUtilitiesCorporation/).
