Voices
You want your voice heard and you ask me how you can speak. You said you cannot write well and you are afraid to talk. You fear that other people, especially your employer will not agree with you and it will cost you your job.
Well my friend, fear will bring you nowhere. At the end of the day, I can guarantee you that it is better to do something to alleviate your situation than not do anything at all. This is the time. We are at the point where more than any time in the past, every single voice counts.
Here is what I think you can do. Do you have Facebook or any other social media account? I’m sure you have. Use it as a tool. These days, issues are won using those platforms. Encourage your friends and family here and off island to share, post, and comment about the CW issue. We want more people to talk about our dilemma on social media.
Another thing is to support those people, business organizations and everyone who are on the frontline fighting for us. Encourage them to continue to help you by remaining to be good and productive members of the CNMI community.
I know it is easier said than done but if you will not stand up for yourselves, who will? I challenge you to do your share no matter how big or small it is. Only then can we say that we are doing something.
