Hanging yourself by hating

The letter on Hang-em high really caught my attention given I had just wrote something about the issue that was totally the opposite perspective, which is why this section calls for “Opinions” not facts. Well God gave us all the ability to form opinions but that doesn’t make them right or best. Now if the author and the complainant in the lawsuit were gods they would know the lieutenant governor was not intending to make sure the money was paid back but they are not gods so they formed opinions that some people even agree with. The only problem I see with the loan of $400,000 is that it was not transparent enough for those who just don’t want to be open minded enough to give the lieutenant governor and Rota a chance for a lending hand.

If the author or my critics had offered a real solution to helping the people of Rota with the MV Luta or some other form of transportation for their goods and products I could half way understand their argument against the loan. But as usually they are complaining flies on the wall looking for something to land on and nothing to offer that can help. If this was some years later and the loan had not been repaid I would even join the lawsuit but to assume people are crooks and blasting them with assumptions before the fact is wrong. The author of the letter and the complainant in the lawsuit never gave the governor, lieutenant governor, and Finance secretary a chance to live up to the agreement just making assumptions that are clearly not supported by facts.

Just because it was the lieutenant governor’s family everyone is assuming the ugly and the worst but I beg to ask who if not them and when if not now is going to help the people of Rota? It is desperate times for Rota and they had to resort to desperate methods to avoid a “Political Football Game” that could end with the MV Luta not getting the $400K that was needed. No one is running a scam for the money and I would like to know where the complainant in the lawsuit and the author have been if they don’t know how desperate the times are on Rota? Do they know the price and cost of living on Rota? To bring up a lawsuit before they had a chance to repay the loan is a pure act of insensitive heartlessness with no compassion for the people of Rota. Please give Rota a chance to repay the money before you start condemning the governor, lieutenant governor, and the Finance secretary as they are all good and honorable people. I’m sure they didn’t want this to become a Political Football but the “haters” will always find something and a way to complain.

I can feel the apprehension of the complainant and the author because we have experienced so much corruption over the past decade that they are apprehensive about everything—in other word they are affected by paranoia. As for the allegations: 1. It was a matter of public knowledge, which is how the complainant found out about the loan—not guilty. 2. They had a fiduciary duty to help the people of Rota that everyone knows are in a desperate emergency mode—not guilty. 3 & 4. It is well within the job description and “purpose” of the governor, lieutenant governor, and Finance secretary to identify and use funding to help the people as the MV Luta is meant to improve the quality of life for all people living on Rota—not guilty. 5. No one knows what documents the complainant wanted but it was documented that’s how he knew—not guilty. 6. The issue was not a matter for the Rota delegation as this was the state’s or Commonwealth’s money, not Rota’s—not guilty. As for the repayment plan, this is all new and I’m sure they need to see how the revenues are going to come in before establishing a definite payment plan, which is why they are asking for your patients. The lieutenant governor’s family is good for Rota so please stop hating the lieutenant governor and his family for working together and being entrepreneurs and give the people of Rota a chance. Stop hanging yourself with assertions driven by hate and paranoia that can be proven wrong over time! If the Legislature turns it into a free transportation subsidy the hatters will really look stupid and I hope they will if it comes to that.

PS: A clarification note for my critics: I stopped hating from the sidelines (it didn’t work) and started trying to work with these people, something my critics need to try. I left out a nine in my number that should have read $997 million, which is only $3 million from being $1 billion—duh! It was my mistake on the number and not knowing the author actually used the name Rotard so please forgive me for being human and not as perfect as my critics in knowing the source of the name!
