Empty Vessel Ministry Foundation members are honored and humbled to receive a Resolution of Recognition from the 19th Legislature and the 15th CNMI Youth Congress.

“We extend appreciation to the House of Representatives for recognizing Aloha for Saipan’s and Operation Pacific Northwest’s efforts in organizing three 40-foot containers of relief goods. These items were major contributions to EVM,” said Empty Vessel Ministry.

The non-profit charity added, “We greatly appreciate the partnership with the lawmakers who assisted us through their donated resources and their aid in distribution, offloading, and transportation.  The Governor’s Office was gracious to provide funds to cover the cost of lunches for the volunteers. It was a team effort and we could not have done without the partners and everyone who donated their time and resources to help out. We remain committed to help people till they getting back on their feet in this long-term recovery.”

Empty Vessel Ministry also extended its special thanks to the 151 local individuals, 20 businesses, various organizations, and schools that contributed financial donations, clothing, food, water, and bedding.

“The generosity of everyone who helped EVM in different ways enabled us to assist more than 6,000 individuals. Many of the clients we aided or visited shared inspiring stories of hope that encourages us to do more. One client—a businessman—was devastated after Soudelor. The family had lost everything including their business assets. They salvaged only blankets, which they donated to EVM. The businessman’s wife was pregnant and had one child and they were in desperate need of food, water, and clothes.  Soudelor had rendered the businessman and his family somewhat homeless but they were grateful for the basic supplies and for FEMA  (Federal Emergency Management Agency) rental assistance. The client has recovered. Today his business is thriving. He is grateful to  everyone who donated to EVM because it was the care and love of donated items that assisted him in time of need,” said  Empty Vessel Ministry.
