LibDay Committee seeks more volunteers
The 2016 Liberation Day committee and its organizers are seeking interested individuals to volunteer for the upcoming 71st Liberation Day festivities.
June 10 is the scheduled opening date for the carnival and the parade is set for July 4.
The Liberation Day committee encourages all interested individuals to pick up an application form at the Saipan Mayors Office on Beach Road, Oleai or at the Skywalker Communications Group, LLC, Room 204, Marianas Business Plaza, Susupe. Interested volunteers may also download a PDF version from the 2016 CNMI Liberation Day Festival Facebook page.
“Volunteering is a great way to network and gain work experience while earning community service credits,” said Skywalker Communications Group account director Sophia Alvarez.
“Interested volunteers will be involved in helping organize this huge and memorable event, “said Alvarez.
“Volunteering for the 2015 Liberation Day Festivities allowed me to witness and be a part of the festival grounds preparation. I learned that it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to plan and execute such a huge event,” said Maria Domingo
The 2016 Liberation Day Carnival grounds will be open on June 10 and will run from 6pm to 10pm Sunday to Thursday and 6pm-11pm from Friday to Sunday.
Individuals who are interested in volunteering may submit their completed volunteer application forms to the Skywalker Communications Group, LLC office.
