AMP grounds finally reopens for public

Share

American Memorial Park grounds have been cleared and repaired, and are now open to the public for use 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Although there has been significant clearing and repair of park facilities and grounds since Typhoon Soudelor the park is not completely back to pre-typhoon conditions. However, the park is now ready for nighttime use. It is recommended that nighttime park users carry and use a flashlight.

The public is further advised for their safety to look out for hazards and pay close attention to closure/warning signs. A small area north of Micro Beach is still closed to the public. Small areas of broken sidewalk exist and should be avoided.

Please help your fellow park users stay safe. Report all emergencies to 911. To reach a law enforcement park ranger call 234-7207, 2008. To reach Saipan Department of Public Safety call 664-9001.

For more information or questions on park facilities or programs, visit www.nps.gov/amme or visit or call park rangers at the American Memorial Park Visitor Center at 234-7207.
