Saipan Computer Services donates $5K to NMC Foundation

The donation from Saipan Computer Services was made in support of the 10th Annual NMC Foundation Open golf tournament scheduled for Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort. (NMC)  In support of higher education in the CNMI, Saipan Computer Services donated $5,000 to the Northern Marianas College Foundation. The donation was made in support of the upcoming 10th Annual NMC Foundation Open golf tournament scheduled for this Saturday, June 30, 2012, at the LaoLao Bay Golf Resort.

“As the primary higher education provider of the CNMI, the college plays the important roles of shaping young men and women to be contributors to the community and training them for local workforce. We are proud and committed to support the NMC Foundation’s efforts to help NMC,” said SCS general manager Jerry Tiu.

The NMC Foundation is composed of community volunteers committed to the advancement of opportunities in support of higher education for people in the CNMI. The golf tournament is the NMC Foundation’s signature event that raises funds to support NMC’s academic programs and services.

“Saipan Computer Services has been a longtime supporter of the NMC Foundation,” said NMC Foundation president Ivan Quichocho. “We are extremely thankful for the company’s unwavering commitment to the College and to elevating higher education opportunities in the CNMI.”

The golf tournament will be held at the LaoLao Bay Golf Resort (West Course) with a shotgun start at 7am and will follow a medal play format. There will be six separate flight categories: Championship, A, B, C, Seniors, and Ladies.

Registration forms for the golf tournament can be downloaded from www.nmcnet.edu, or picked up at the Marianas Country Club, Saipan Country Club, Dandan Golf Range, Kingfisher Golf Links, and All Star Sporting Goods.

The entrance fee is $95 per player. Payments for the entrance fee can be made at LaoLao Bay Golf Resort, Triple J Motors, and the NMC Cashier.

Tournament prizes for first place for each of the six flights include cash and roundtrip tickets to various destinations in the Pacific on United Airlines. Hole-in-one prizes include a 2012 Hyundai Elantra donated by Triple J Motors, a roundtrip ticket on United Airlines, and one year of free golf at the LaoLao Bay Golf Resort.
