2016 MMAC teams to hold various fundraisers

Participating teams in the 2016 Marianas March Against Cancer will be holding separate activities starting this Friday as fundraising efforts for May 13-14 event nears. The MMAC will again be held at the Hopwood Junior High School grounds in Chalan Piao.

Team Bodig will hold a coin drive for its fundraising event for two consecutive Fridays—the first will be tomorrow, April 29, from 3:30pm to 6pm. The second one will be on May 6 with the same times.

The back-to-back coin drives will take place at Atkins Kroll Toyota Intersection along Beach Road in San Jose. For more information, email Bridgette DLG Camacho at bridgette.camacho@gmail.com.

On Saturday, April 30, Team Triple J will be selling Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs footlong as its fundraiser during the Saipan Little League Baseball games at the Francisco M. Palacios and Miguel Basa Pangelinan fields.

Team Triple J will be selling the hotdogs from 10am to 1pm at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium in Oleai. The hotdogs cost $4 each and comes with free water courtesy of Triple J Five Star Wholesale Foods.

“We invite the whole community to come down to the Ada Gym this Saturday to enjoy Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs for only $4 each which comes with a free bottled water. We encourage you to come and enjoy the sporting activities taking place that day all while supporting the battle against cancer. We applaud Team Triple J for their fundraising efforts,” said 2016 overall MMAC committee chair Geralyn C. Dela Cruz.

Also on Saturday, Team Talaabwogh StaR will have a Happy Hour fundraiser from 6pm to 10pm at the True North Bar and Grill in Beach Road, Garapan. Tickets are $20 each that comes with two free drinks.

Team Lady Diann Torres Foundation-Northern Marianas College will hold their fundraiser—Cinco de Mayo Happy Hour, on May 5 at the Naked Fish Bar & Grill in Beach Road, Susupe.

Tickets for the event, set from 5pm to 9pm, are $15 each where patrons can enjoy live entertainment and get a chance to win great raffle prizes.

Team BSI-Chacha Lancheros chose to have a Hot Lunch as their fundraising activity on May 6, Friday, from 11am to 1pm at the Minatchom Atdao Pavilion in Beach Road, Susupe.

The menu includes red rice, sukiyaki, bisteak, koko, and water. The hot lunch costs $5 each and are available for delivery for orders of four or more.

Team Tan Holdings-Kagman High School’s selling of shirts is still ongoing at the second floor of the J.P. Center in Beach Road, Garapan. The design also comes in a polo shirt with the phrase “Just Beat It” posted and their fundraising event ends on May 13.

The shirts cost $15 each and each purchase entitles you to a raffle ticket for a chance to win one free round trip ticket to Manila via Philippine Airlines Express. The raffle tickets are also being sold separately for $5 each.
