The Society for Human Resource Management NMI Chapter will be joined by Chris Tenorio, coordinator of the CNMI Public School System Co-operative Education & Training Program, to discuss the benefit of the Co-op program at the April general membership meeting.

Tenorio will provide an introduction to the co-op education program and how it helps develop student core academic skills through application in real work situations. This program will be of special interest to all HR professionals and managers, showing how working with the Co-operative Education program can assist in building capacity in our youth workforce. Tenorio will be accompanied by two students who will provide brief testimonies of their experiences with the co-op program.

This lunch meeting will be held at the Pacific Islands Club Charley’s on Thursday, April 28, 2016, from 11:30am to 1:30pm.

This presentation is open to the public and will be an invaluable opportunity for employers and HR professionals and staff to better understand the value to our community of the Co-operative Education and Training program. Tenorio will provide an opportunity for questions.

The presentation includes the PIC lunch buffet at the cost of $20 for SHRM members and $30 for non-members.
