The CNMI Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency would like to inform the general public, especially mariners who plan to travel to the Northern Islands, that there is a communications breakdown with the island of Pagan. No radio or other communications are currently available to contact the island of Pagan.

Vessels heading to the Northern Islands must submit a copy of their Float Plan to the Department of Public Safety-Boating Safety Division and the CNMI Emergency Operations Center.

The CNMI Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency will closely monitor this situation and will issue updated information when it becomes available.
