Try Luck, Mix Blood Shooters II seize back-to-back titles
Jonny’s Bar & Grill’s Try Luck and SOS Bar & Grill’s Mix-Blood Shooters II came home as the most decorated Saipan Electronic Dart Association teams in the 2012 Bud Light Winter-Summer League awards banquet held yesterday at the Charley’s Cabaret of the Pacific Islands Club.
Try Luck topped the Ladies division, while ruled the Mix-Blood II the A division for their second straight championship as they also clinched the post season Bud Light Cup honors. Try Luck defeated Mome’s Mei of Bammy’s Bar & Grill, 8-5, while Mix-Blood II bested Sand’s Juvy Predators, 9-4.
Try Luck members include team captain Aida Laniyo, Luz Antonio, Tresha Diaz, Naomi Laniyo, Matrina Lisua and Tess Tesoro. VFW Post 3457’s B-52 Shooters finished runner-up and Naked Fish Bar & Grill’s Man Amigas rounded out the third spot.
Mix-Blood II is composed of captain Mario Espinoza, Dean Borja, Frank Codog, Manding Legaspi, Bernard Paras and Ranie Soriano. They beat runner-up Bud Brothers and third placer Sabalu, both of Bammy’s.
E’y Kitchen’s Kamotes also bagged its second consecutive first place showing in the Masters division, however they came up short in pulling off the sweep, falling to eventual Bud Cup champs Maharot Crew of VFW in the first round; VFW’s Maharot Crew finished the season in second place in front of Bammy’s Aces.
Kamotes is made up of team captain Jun Olita, Kaysie Aquino, Jun Baltazar, George Medina, Eric Pascual, and Robert Valdez.
Other first place winners include Tuesday B-League’s Na’Gupu Too of Naked Fish Bar & Grill; B Fanihi’s SOS-DJ Fish; B-Flame Tree’s Rehab of Jonny’s; C division’s Sparks of Jonny’s; and Inter-Government division’s AG-Sakudi of Jonny’s.
Na’Gupu Too members includes captain Alvin Sablan, Jeff Babauta, George and Joseph Cruz, Sim Iramk, Richard Rabago, Darwin Sablan, and Freddy Salavaria; SOS-Sea Bridge’s 80 Proofers finished second in front of SOS’s Mixblood Shooters II.
DJ Fish is made up of captain Mario Espinoza, Jun Azarcon, Rolly Bermiso, Cliff Hamoy, Danilo and Julie Salinas, and Allan Villa. They beat Bammy’s DRP2 and sister squad Lights Out.
Rehab is made up of captain Jaycee Rdialul, Blaren Castro, Mike Jones, Jacob Lizama, Nick Muna, and Elton and Joseph Santos. VFW’s Good Guys II came in second place, ahead of Joe’s Steakhouse’s Skoregazzzums.
The Sparks members include captain Diony Camacho, Isaac Aguon, Arvin Avilla, Shawn Dela Cruz, and Roland Delos Reyes. Bammy’s DRP settled for runner-up honors and Oceanside Bar & Grill’s V1 Shooters finished in third.
AG’s Sakude members include captain Tony Tomokanem George Cruz, Alvin and Jesse Iglecias, Jayson John, George Sablan, and Lionel Sanchez. Bammy’s Team CUC came in second place in front of Jonny’s DPS Bad Boyz.
