National Library Week proclamation Saturday

The Joeten-Kiyu Public Library is pleased to announce the 2016 Proclamation Signing for National Library Week will be on Saturday, April 9, at 10am in the main lobby.

The program includes inspirational guest speakers Bobby and Debbie Winkfield, followed by a book donation by U.S. Delegate Gregorio “Kilili” C. Sablan (Ind-MP), and ukulele performance by Larry Lee and his students.

JKPL will offer extended library hours on Sunday, April 10, from 10am to 2pm and Monday from 1pm to 6pm.

They will also have an amnesty week where all fines on overdue materials that will be returned in good condition will be waived in honor of NLW.

For one day only there will be a free library card replacement day on April 14 where patrons who lost their library cards can have them replaced for free. The member, however, must be free from any library obligations.

There will be a Prel EBSCO Host presentations at the VTC Room, NMC CREES EFNEP Food Demonstrations for one week, and Free Basic Computer Class at JKPL ITC so please register to reserve your seats.

Other activities include toddlers afternoon read aloud on April 13, 10am at JKPL COHL, canned food drive for the month of April, fan fiction competition sponsored by local author Katrina Manning, and launching of the long awaited e-books by Baker and Taylor Axis 360.
