TAMUNING, Guam—Officials from the Filipino Community of Guam announced that an evening concert this Saturday, April 9, will showcase stellar Philippine and local acts with the goal of giving back to higher education. The FCG will be hosting a high-energy production to benefit the UOG Endowment Foundation at the UOG Calvo Fieldhouse. The show, which starts at 8pm, will feature a new set of Philippine celebrities.
Dubbed “the Filipino Community of Guam’s Pagkakaisa Concert,” the event aims to give Filipino audiences reminders of home while introducing the island to a unique brand of entertainment. “This is the first time that celebrities of this scale have performed on island in a couple of years,” said Nita Baldovino, FCG president. “It will be a great show and we want everyone to come together to enjoy it!”
Last month, it was announced that entertainers Enchong Dee, Karylle, and K Brosas would perform at the show. Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, however, the stars are no longer able to perform on island. The FCG has since pulled together a new lineup of celebrities: Gerald Anderson and Ai-Ai delas Alas
