Police arrested Wednesday night two men for allegedly selling crystal methamphetamine or “ice” on Saipan.
Police served the arrest warrant on George Manglona and Juan D. Tydingco for trafficking of a controlled substance and illegal possession of a controlled substance.
Superior Court associate judge Joseph N. Camacho retained yesterday the $30,000 cash bail the court earlier imposed on the two.
Camacho learned that the 32-year-old Manglona also has a bench warrant in a probation revocation matter. The judge ordered Manglona to be detained until the revocation matter is resolved.
Former chief prosecutor Michael Ernest appeared as counsel for Manglona.
Members of the Drug Enforcement Task Force and Criminal Investigation Bureau allegedly used a “cooperating source” to buy $100 worth of “ice” each from Manglona and Tydingco in separate operations on June 14, 2012.
The detectives allegedly managed to buy three gross grams of “ice” from Manglona and two gross grams of “ice” from Tydingco.
The transaction with Manglona allegedly happened at a parking lot of a poker arcade in San Vicente, while Tydingco’s occurred at a poker arcade in Sadog Tasi.
Tydingco was among four suspected “ice” dealers arrested by detectives on Saipan in separate incidents on July 15 and 16, 2010.
