(MVA)  Women’s golf magazine Regina is bringing golf in the Marianas to the fore with a recent visit to Laolao Bay Golf Resort, Kingfisher Golf Resort, and several island hotels.

The high-class golf fashion magazine is distributed to 60,000 readers in Japan, largely ladies in their 20s and 30s who are beginning golfers. The feature on the Northern Marianas this spring will bring this beach resort destination over $78,000 in exposure aimed directly at these upscale travelers.

“This is not Regina magazine’s first visit to the Northern Marianas, so it’s obvious there is a continuing interest in our golf courses by their readers,” said Marianas Visitors Authority marketing manager Bruce Bateman.

Stories in the magazine range from golf lessons, exercise, fashion, golfing goods and cosmetics. While on Saipan on Jan. 26-30, 2012, the magazine also covered other tourist attractions, including the Garapan Street Market, a trekking tour to Forbidden Island, Managaha, and Joeten Shopping Center. The article will also feature Mariana Resort & Spa, Hyatt Regency Saipan, and Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan. (MVA)
