Man who just posted bail for domestic violence arrested again for ‘ice’
Marijuana, ammunition also involved
A man who was arrested for domestic violence and was just released last Tuesday upon posting bail, was apprehended again two days later after police allegedly seized methamphetamine or “ice,” marijuana, and several ammunitions at his residence in San Vicente.
Anthony Joseph Sakisat Camacho, 39, was taken to Superior Court on Friday for bail hearing on charges of two counts of illegal possession of controlled substance, and one count of manufacture, sale, or possession of a firearm and dangerous devices.
Associate Judge Teresa Kim-Tenorio granted acting chief prosecutor Chester Hinds’ motion to increase the $10,000 cash bail previously imposed to $25,000 cash.
Preliminary hearing will be on March 10 at 9am. Assistant public defender Cindy Nesbit was appointed as counsel for Camacho.
According to Police Detective Peter A. Aldan, seized from the defendant’s studio-type residence were five clear glass pipes containing crystallized substance and four half smoked joints of marijuana that were tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine and marijuana respectively.
In his report, Aldan also disclosed that found in the house were four .38 special unexpended ammunition rounds, four .22 X-Super unexpended ammunition rounds, and two WWC 92.9mm full metal jacket unexpended ammunition rounds.
Last Feb. 29, Camacho was arrested for allegedly beating up his girlfriend at knifepoint at his residence.
The following day, Tuesday, the defendant waived preliminary hearing and was released to his mother who served as third-party custodian, upon posting $1,000 cash.
Police also learned that an outstanding bench warrant was issued against Camacho on Dec. 16, 2015, for failing to appear at a review hearing on his previous criminal case.
Detective Aldan said police executed a search warrant issued by Judge Kenneth L. Govendo last Wednesday at Camacho’s residence, where they found the “ice,” marijuana, and ammunition.
